My apolgies Bill, you are right.
What I meant to imply/say, was that the surface of a satellite dish does not require great accuracy (smoothness) compared with an optical dish.
If I remember correctly doubling a dish diam:
quadruples the gain (+6db)and as you mention,
narrows the beamwidth.
Anyway I spent 3 whole DAYS, just trying to find the signal to enable me to line up my 60 cm Sat: dish. ;-)
