Thought I was drunk when I read this.
Although I dont doubt the ability to biuld a
1000 meter high hollow, glass covered stack.
But to produce 6 1/4 MW per air turbine (standing at the base) seems a very optimistic figure. Also the electrostatic hurricane generated at the top, could alter the weather a thousand miles away. Plus the glass inside would quickly become opaque white due to the constant dust abrasion, which would then reflect a lot of the sunlight, and therefore efficiency.
I think th money would be better spent by giving each home a 1000watt wind generator.
Cant see any use for the mad idea, apart from it becoming an automatic rising parachute, or auto freebase jump off point, for the worlds maniacs.
