A year or two ago my greatgrandmother was diagnosed with Alzhiemer's disease. I was amazed that my inteligent grandmother would soon have trouble remembering her age. I have always wondered what caused this. Now that I have read this article, I think I know the cause. When my grandmoter was 10 years old she fell out of a tree,broke her back, and hit her head. I now think that this could be the cause of her extreme memory loss. This is yet another reason why our youth should wear helmets while riding bikes, roller blading, skateboarding, ect.
