Have you ever heard anyone refer to the bosons of any of the other forces as gluons? I heard someone the other day trying to assert that the W+, the W-, and the Z0 -- the mediators of the weak nuclear force -- could also be referred to as gluons. The term "gluon" is reserved for the mediators of the strong force, isn't it?
