Are you also going to pass legislation prohibiting children from going outside if there is a chance of a thunder storm? The incidence of Reyes Syndrome and being struck by lightning are similar. Before there were warning labels in the US there were about 500 cases reported annually. But, unlike most direct lightning strikes, Reyes Syndrome is curable. In the minds of the overprotective however, it is better for one million children to suffer in pain than that one of them will get a disease that would require hospital treatment to cure.
