Indeed they are radically different. Many seek to destroy industrialism, capitalism, Americans, and people in general. Their goals have nothing to do with the science of environmentalism, but rather the religion. The quotes provide strong evidence for that. Others seek only economic advantage – nothing wrong with that if you can find the right sucker. Some might actually have good intentions but there methods entail dire consequences for us and the world in general.

The point is that science does not regard consensus in a democratic fashion. It requires evidence. Solutions to problems will either work or they will not. If they work they incur some cost, as all solutions do. If the cost is greater than the problem then why employ the solution at all.

Do you mean 25% of anthropogenic CO2 emissions? If so, that 1% of total emissions. What solution do you suggest? Kyoto? Not even the IPCC suggests it will have a measurable impact on temperatures. Better yet, what is your end goal? Do you even have one? Or do you just follow the greens spouting nonsense without even understand the implications? So let’s dialog, you and I. ‘Splain yourself Lucy!
