Am I nothing more than an ornament you like to see? How degrading, to be reduced to that status of an object, a thing, a particle, an inanimate, unthinking, unfeeling, unmoving trinket, a bauble or a knicknack. An emotionless nonentity whose continued existence depends on the charitable feelings of yourself. A disposable piece of decoration to be discarded as the season changes, or smashed to bits in a fit of pique.
If you like seeing my name so well, why don't you print it out upon a banner and tack it on your wall? After all, there's no real person here, since it's just a pseudonym anyway, right? There can't possibly be a real human being out in the world somewhere pixelating your screen under the moniker, "Amaranth Rose". That's too far-fetched for anyone to believe. Everyone knows that is impossible.
Amaranth Rose is out here, at least some part of me is, wandering the emails and the cyberspace along the internet, looking for meaning, searching for existence, trying to connect with the human race and wondering if I should. I'm growing, learning, adapting, changing, evolving.
I am not at all certain I'm even on the right planet.
But I am by no stretch of the imagination decorative.
But if you should see a sunrise or a sunset, stained with the garish hues of blood, and roses, painted on the wind, slashed across the sky as if at swordpoint, echoing across the vault of heaven like the whisper of the force of life itself, then look for me there. I'll be there.
