Well they say that, knowledge is power.
'They' wont be happy until they have stored the sum total knowledge of the world upon a dozen crystaline disks.
And then why study? It will be far simpler to give your children a teeny mini disk, giving him/her access to more knowlege than they will ever need, in their lifetime.
Similar to allowing the kids to use calculators in
the examination room today, Huh?
