They should certainly have some input into what subjects are investigated. I absolutely agree that it is key to vitality in education. That is not what I'm saying. I am talking about students who have next to no background in a subject area deciding that thousands of biologists must be wrong and being allowed, even encouraged to eliminate their viewpoints from the curriculum and substitute a different idea. That is the wrong approach. They are not the ones to properly make such a decision in public schools.
