i also, really do think that some traditional stories, or myths are based on reality.
some of my speculation comes from American Indian myths, specifically i would mention about the formation of some mountains up there in the Northwest U.S. i read an Indian myth about the formation of 3 mountains and the conjecture by current scientists that the myth was very reasonable. i forget the exact name of the mountain group or its exact location, maybe i will look it up.
i attended college as an older student and graduated in 1994. i am actively doing research and try to keep up by reading journals and also the popular science oriented magazines and books.
i was just mentioning to somebody that i am what was disparigingly referred to as a 'perpetual student'.
