You're supposed to have such a great technical knowledge. Figure it out. 12 square Km shipped to Mars orbit and applied. Then figure out how many centuries it will take for it to work. You have 16 years. Get back to us when you have the answer.

P.S. Personally I would have used a powder coating applied as a charged aerosol. Much lighter and easier to apply. Rip the surface and you just paint over it rather than trying to get out a patching kit. No bulky folding/rolling and unfolding/unrolling. But then you're the technical expert here, aren't you. I look forward to your calculations.
