I've been reviewing one of my old Psychology quizzes and came across the question that endeared me to my teacher.
It was quite simple:
It showed a picture of a glass of water.
The question asked: "How would you describe the water in this glass? (half empty, half full, etc.)

My answer? "It's halfway."

I got extra credit and the wonderful experience of the teacher telling my answer to everyone else in the class. It turns out I'm the only one out of 30 who put an answer other than those two normal choices...
My question is, if half-empty is pessemist, and half-full is optimist, what's "halfway"? Realist?

Any thoughts?
