Did they take into account that the rats might just be happier because of the tastier diet. Happiness and motivation are often not factured in, although it effects every experiment on plant, animal or human. After all smoking is known to delay the onset Alzheimer's (maybe they are just happier and more alert because of it). Have by doubts about these trials, how many times do they have to get things wrong for people to have a 'healthy' sceptism.
