Not belief. I tis psychosomatic illness. Just the placebo effect. Nothing more.
Decades ago when I was at Syntex a study was done of different types of medicines and the colors of the tablets.
It was conclusively proven that some types of medication produce better/worse effects if you take the exact same pills and just change the color of the coating.
