I agree with you.
(Three too many zeros for plants?)
Since its plant life they are talking about.
Salt water (sea tsumis) receed, and even horrendous 'Noahs Ark' type downpours from storms,
might have carried and dropped seeds that originated thousands of miles away, prehaps only
years later. Or at least once the Sun peeked through.
