I was talking to a Federal bank examiner at the time the Enron thing went down. He said that he had closed 80 banks in the last year and everyone of them had filed financial statements with sworn ststement that said, that the records had been examined and evaluated by (...help me here, this is a paraphrase...) methods and accepted practices within the accounting profession.
Yet all were financially corrupt and needed to be closed down.
Integrity? Just FYI.
