I would like to propose a double-blind experiment.
Study Group A - people who believe in Genesis as a literal work:
This group stands around believing that all answers have already been revealed to them and wait patiently until the end.Study Group B - people who believe in Genesis as an allegorical work:
Continue to progress intellectually, culturally, and in the sciences eventually inhabiting the rest of the galaxy.Me? I'll be part of Group B and leave just before the asteroid strikes.
