More wilful ignorance from anyman.

Objects in the Oort cloud have not been directly observed because they are too faint. However, a number of objects have been seen in the Kuiper belt which is the extension of the Oort cloud into the plane of the solar system.

Here is the nucleus of comet Borrelly - a short period comet with a composition thought to be like that of the Oort cloud members. Its 8.5km long.
