turn the pooter off.
take the sound card out.
turn the pooter on
go to my pooter/device manager..
find your sound card under sound
select and remove.
reboot pooter.
turn pooter off.
install sound card.
turn pooter on.
( stroke it gently this turns it on much quicker)
let the new version of windows install it.
your old drivers should still be in
c:\windows\inf...
if xp has that folder.
