This is supposed to be a new idea? There were hex dimpled golf balls in the early 70's making the same claim. The difference was marginal as I recall and the cover density and such was a more important consideration to the golfer. But yes, dimple pattern can have an effect. Persoanally I liked the Polara which had regular dimples except they were much deeper in the equatorial belt while almost flat at the poles. Depending on how you placed it on the tee you could get a hook, slice or straight flight.
