I see no waffling whatsoever.

Evolution theory may have been initially codified by Charles Darwin. It has not rested on his shoulders for scientists in more than one hundred years.

It is only the pseudo-scientists and religious cranks that try to build Darwin into some kind of rival of Jesus so that he can be smote.
