Just caught your comment about splitting electrons. And I'm not sure that it is entirely beyond reason though it is certainly beyond generally accepted theory.
The reason being the wave properties of electrons (and for that matter all other things). Whether the save can be split as a photon is split still remains a possiblity. We just haven't done it yet. And that in no way means it can't be done.
