You pour 1 kg of water into the top of a barrel every second and take out 1kg/sec from a hole in the bottom. Would the barrel overflow or run empty?
Temperature is a measure of the energy of the atoms composing the material being measured. You can not create or destroy energy/mass. If you add just as much energy as you take out the temperature won’t change. If you add more energy the temperature will rise and if you take out more energy the temperature will fall.
