and your point about accepting the 100% claim uncritically was also well taken :-)
...my idea is that the code itself is evolving
twyman would agree with you...in the context of *deviation from the standard genetic code* he says, "the phylogenetic distribution of these changes indicates that the code is still evolving" (p 131)
that does not mean that i agree with either of you
i would at least use different terminology and ultimately probably understand it in a different way than either of you would
but i give you that FYI :-)
