So you think that if you owned the rain forests of Brazil ... and were making millions or billions of dollars selling the trees ... you'd voluntarily stop cutting when the effect of what you did affected people living elsewhere and had not yet affected your income?
no, i would manage my resourses so as to maximize profit over the long term. that means conservation. Others living elsewhere have nothing to do with it.
