without a definition for consciousness all else is for nought

still in need of basic definition of consciousness.

if a single cell is not conscious, ie. it just reacts chemically and physically to its surroundings, what difference is there in that to human consciousness.

in science all is measurement, if we want to measure a straight line we want to know that the rule we are measuring it with is straight.

we must view our selves as part of the measuring apparatus, after all it is we who decide if the rule is straight or not.
