Well, lets see now. Being responcible, we keep our guns unloaded, don't we?
Oh, and since these women could have kids in the house, we also keep our shotguns in a closet or some "hidden" location, as well as keeping the box of shells in ANOTHER location...
OR, you can have a 215 pound man laying in bed next to you ready to rip the head off of someone threatening his family.

Which one would be faster? Eh, I dunno. I guess it depends on how fast you can run.
