The chiral Eotvos experiment is a definitive go/no-go benchtop experiment. It probes the Equivalence Principle, the apparent indistinguishablity of inertial and gravitational mass.

LIGO is something entirely different. That pair of kilometer interferometers and their smaller brethren around the world seek to detect quadrupolar gravitational radiation and triangulate a signals' source.
