Acceptable answer: Except "reasoned thought" is subjective. And on the point of acceptance of current reality, I definitely think it could affect creativity. Why did so many countries have their own dominent religion, except that people accepted the norm. Any norm is dangerous to free thinking, the bigger the more scary. Like a global norm. Who'll stand against it. People still dream of running to the mountains and the wilderness to escape the influence of society, what happens when there is nowhere to run because we all globally positioned or tagged. If Galileo was properly and fully controlled he would probably given up.
