i am over 50, and some days i feel like i was 17.
physically, when i walk 5 or 10 miles in a day,
mentally, when i examine dna sequences and find new stuff.
some days i feel like i am much older than 17, and i am very glad about that, because................ when i was 17 i was pretty dumb about some things.
to respond more specifically to your original question, if you can describe some dna sequences of hemoglobin, (preferably beta, rather than alpha), from an older person and from a younger person, i may be able to comment.
my specialties are the dna sequences of blood groups, hemoglobin, and antibodies. beyond that i am not an expert in that particular field.
