Re: Global Warming (Dogrock)

If the earth warms up, and the oceans warm up, and more water vapor goes into the air and is held there and carried off to land as rain somewhere, what will the effect be on the water level in the oceans if there is more water wapor in the atmosphere?

What set me thinking was this: Shasta left a pan of water on the stove and forgot about it. When I turned it off, there was much steam, and the water level was reduced. It was not raining in the room, but it was slightly warm. Could the evaporation of seawater perhaps be a counter to the increased melting of glaciers and other ice?
