I love it when people think that expertise in one field extends to another. An optometrist? And not a single reference that is peer reviewed.
Even if he's right ... it is meaningless without at least three double-blind peer reviewed studies.
Personally I think most ADHD is the fact that parents of my generation and the next are incompetent and looking for a pill to calm down the kiddies. The balance of it is probably very real and very much a case of a problem with neurotransmitters and/or receptors.
