If proven that primitive life might have been around 3 Billion years ago, or more. It would reinforce the idea that the seeds for life must have come from space? Due to being so soon after the Earth was born?

I remember listening to a lecture some years ago
of a theory that Gold might have been concentrated by a Bacterium species, long ago.
I have just found a similar reference to same.
