I have no idea. Porphyrins are brightly colored compounds, usually red or green. Chlorophyll is a porphyrin, as is the Heme moiety that give the color to red blood. Which leads me to wonder, because the woman's hair is blonde. Perhaps there is ome yellow porphyrin of which I'm unaware, though my biochemistry classes were pretty thorough. And maybe he just liked the sound of it, and it fit the meter nicely, and sounded better than something less tasteful like, say, "Coprophagia".
