The Amazing Voyagers, 15 Billion miles apart, still travelling.

(62.188.133.23)Voyager I and Voyager II, both left the Earth in 1975, travelling in opposite directions.
Every year Voyager I travels another 334 Million miles further away from us. Voyager II is slightly slower.
NASA has just succesfully activated Voyager I's spare Sun and Star sensor, inspite of being more than 7.8 Billion miles away. Both command and reply took 24 hours. This update should give it another 20 years of life, (barring accidents) on top of the 25 years it has already been traveling in space.
For a spacecraft only intended to live for 4 years
Thats truly amazing.
