The site suggests in regard to a sudden shifting of ocean currents. "An understanding of the relative timing of this event is critical". I suggest in that case it always has been. It happened before it could happen again. It doesn't need to refer to the global warming issue to make it critical. Many things have happened before to wipe out life, they are all critical. So what do we do? Improve our versitility to respond in whatever direction it may come. That means not getting bogged down on any single one.
