Re: huh!? (Dogrock)

The moon is 60 times as far away from the earth's surface [center?] as we are; we are 4,000 miles from the centre, and the moon is 240,000 miles away from the centre.

We agree to that point. Here's where it gets a bit sticky.

So an object at the earth surface should fall, in one second, 1/2inch x 3,600 (the square of 60) which is about 16 feet. Which is the verified rate of fall at the surface of the earth.

huh inverse squared!?!? What the heck are you talking about? (try 32 fps on the earth's surface and (1/60^2)*30 or .0088 fps at the moon distance)
