What you wrote is full of waffle words ... words that can be interpreted by different people in different ways. For example:

1. "To jump in too soon"
2. "and commit huge efforts"
3. "I don't want to end up babysitting it."

What ius "too soon" what is "huge" and what is "babysitting"? Reasonable people can and will disagree.

What we should not disagree about is that humans, by their very nature, refuse to act on most threats until it is too late.

There are extremists on both sides of this issue. I prefer to stay in the middle saying something should be done to decrease our impact. The extremists say "do nothing" or "do everything".
