The Romans placed sticks in a canal all two feet above the water line and observed the curvature of the earth by looking along the sticks. But there were people who wondered why everybody didn't fall off on the other side. I did as a child, so did millions of others. But the concept is now so easily accepted and understood that hardly anyone has any trouble with it. And what was once upon a time for some people an impossible concept to grasp is now easy. Maybe we need another such leap of understanding in analysing the two slit experiment.
