No, you are not spitting in the wind, as you say,Its called inquisitive thinking, unimpeded by a string of letters after your name, as most Scientists are.

Yes, yes...I mean its pretty awesome when you realise that a six volt battery and an auto bulb
can throw a beam across the universe.
Its our poor eyesight, and equipment that limits the distance that we can see it.
Were it not for the presence of intergalactic dust, plus virtual particles popping in and out of existence, and the poor vacuum of space...whos to say that the six volt Auto-light photons dont go on forever? Now THATS efficiency for you.
