no need for the 45,000,000 years though...when ~4500 would do :-)
and metasequoias are far from the only thing "out of place" up there...big bunches of flora and fauna remains at both poles...that tell of a time when the earth was very different from today
ah well...say...how about that ol' uniformitarianism stuff anyway :-)
