Re: Antarctic Ice Shelf Collapses In Largest Event Of Last 30 Years (DA Morgan)

Excuse me, Danny but I presented a theory based on the laws of physics and you present a pair of irrelevant observations. For the sake of argument I'll grant the temperature has risen in around the Larsen B ice sheet recently. In fact, ice melting would kind of indicate that, wouldn’t it? What does this have to do with the reflectivity of ice? Fact, Danny, if you increase the albedo of the earth closer to the equator (hint: where there is more heat being absorbed from the sun) the temperature is going to fall. That is hard science rather than your random wishful thinking the world will end if it gets a little warmer. The earth has many self-regulating features that control the temperature. This is just one.

The temperature goes up and the temperature goes down. Let’s worry about real problems like the number of children who die of easily curable disease rather than what-if scenarios that only become a problem if we ignore the laws of physics.

BTW, if you ever have any thoughts that might relate to the subject at hand, please let us know. I.e. if you have any reason to believe that increasing the amount of sunlight being reflected into space will increase the temperature rather than decrease it, you be sure to let us know.
