Re: ''Cloned Pigs for Human Transplantation'' The Dangers? (Amaranth Rose)

A day after the Uk Co announced the birth of five cloned piglets, a US group reveals the existence of another four.
Immerge Bio Therapeutics of Massachusetts, announced the first minature swine to be cloned.
Both firms chose the same gene responsible for
hyperacute rejection of transplanted organs.

So far there has yet to be a successful transplant from one species to another. The challenge is overcoming the bodys immune response
after it percieves a foreign organ. Said Randall
Prather of the university of Missouri-Columbia
where the piglets were developed.
