This might not be directly germane to the discussion, but there is a relativistic effect that is applied to one of the planets. When they first started calculating the planets orbits using Newtons laws they found that Mercury's orbit was just a little bit off. They spent years trying to figure out what was wrong. They even postulated a new planet (Vulcan) inside the orbit of Mercury. They finally resolved the problem when Einstein announced the General Theory of Relativity. The mass of the Sun provides a relativistic warping of space that affects Mercury's orbit. That was one of the early victories for General Relativity.
