dano unwittingly made a very good point in that he seems to be suggesting that the organization has an agenda

all scientists have an agenda...whether it be their own pet hypothesis (or their excitement about someone else's) or if they are opposing someone else's

you are absolutely right in refuting dano's primary thesis...that just because certain pols are associated with the results that the results are then unworthy of consideration...dano's proposition is nonsense of the highest order...but fairly typical
