Really? Ok, for every pound of coal burned, how much carbon goes into the atmosphere as CO2 and how much goes out with the ash as unburned carbon? Same question for gasoline. Now the toughy - same question for lubricating oils.The question ... is how much is removed.
Certainly less than is being added as evidenced by the slow rise. But a good question. A better question is what are the dynamics of the removal processes. The removal process obviously changes over time but how fast?
