Re: Hydrogen economy leads to environmental disaster (DA Morgan)

Unlike fusion the quesion is not how.

I know how. Many know how. The problem is reducing the cost so that it can be profitable.

hmmm. maybe you're on to something there.

If we added to the cost of every barrel of oil, the cost of the US Defense Department effort to keep it available, oil would be so expensive only a handful of people could afford to drive a car. And hydrogen from ocean water would be economically feasible.

At least i thought you were. Turned out not to be so. Hey! that's good. Means you're batting a thousand. All you are doing is transferring the point of payment from one collection point to another. Unless that is you intend to double dip - charge twice for the same service, which has it’s own set of problems though you appear to be unable to recognize them.

So what we really have here, if you wish to be a true capitalist, is a government subsidy of an industry.

Where exactly did you...never mind. How 'bout this instead. How 'bout we reduce the regulations on nuclear energy to levels approaching sanity and get the hydrogen that way! Doesn't solve the compression problem but it's a step in the right direction. But then, you don't really want a step in the right direction, do you?
