Regarding a decreasing brain size you suggested:

Maybe but is their any evidence that we use our brains less than did our forefathers?


Regarding planned selection rather than natural you suggested:

Progress? depends on what you call progress.. I believe regress is more evident..

Progress in the context used went more to the direction of time than to quality. But i see your point even if i don't share your view that it would be 'regression'.

You also say:

We were more humane time gone by..

Is that a statement of fact or opinion? My personal opinion is that mankind is more humane than it has ever been at any other point in history. Doesn't say we're perfect, just...progressing. :-)
