Being an interactive, rather than confrontational, program, I'm not sure I see an argument. I'll have to give it some thought.
I'm not sure I'm totally in favor of removing it from the marketplace. I might be more inclined to take a middle ground of attempting to make people more aware of the hazards, either by education or by use of warning labelling. It might also warrant a change to prescription only availability, on the grounds that it is becoming a drug of abuse.
The problem I perceive with Phenylpropanolamine is that it has effects on the brain as well as the sinuses, and it can act in synergy with other substances, both over-the-counter and prescription, to produce extremely unexpected results in some persons. If you're familiar with the term "drug induced psychosis", I need say no more. And while the drug may wear off in a few days, the results of one's actions while under its influence can have much further reaching consequences.
