On February 20th, 2002 local time (February 21 UT), an occultation of Saturn will occur for most parts of North America and Western Africa. A rare opportunity will occur, to repeat a 30 year old observation and possibly put to rest, the mystery of the "lost ring".

Those with low light video cameras and medium to large telescopes, can contribute to the investigation. There are some suggestions at the end of the article concerning equipment.
